But, often, I'm working on the train or in another office and carrying around an extra monitor doesn't work too well :-) I also find that I can't get comfortable if I am trying to use a laptop monitor <em>and</em> a second screen at the same time - for some reason it just doesn't work for me ergonomically. Parallels will adjust the resolution of the Windows window to suit the external monitor when you do the 'alt-enter' rotate screen thing.
